As a former dancer and choreographer I wanted to get to know the local dance scene and had written the concept for a dance group, the name was „Metro Dance Project“. On April 8th 2001 the casting took place in the artist school Screamfactory in Frankfurt.
Dancers from all over Germany came to the casting, but in the end I only took dancers from or around Frankfurt. In the end there were over 20 dancers from 14 nations that I had done. After the dancers were selected from the casting, the first training units took place at various locations. Choreographies for shows were rehearsed and after 3 months the first show took place at the Prinz Talentbühne. This was followed by a Germany tour for “Supermodelsconnect” where we performed in Mainz, Neuss and Esslingen.
We also took part in the 10th Hip Hop & Freestyle Dance Festival in Augsburg and competed with the best dance groups in Germany. Subsequently, Metro Dance Project won the Prinz Talentbühne in the dance category.
Als ehemaliger Tänzer und Choreograph wollte ich die lokale Tanzszene kennenlernen und hatte dazu das Konzept für eine Tanzgruppe geschrieben gehabt, der Name war „Metro Dance Project“. Am 08.April 2001 fand das Casting in der Künstlerschule Screamfactory in Frankfurt statt.
Zum Casting erschienen Tänzer aus ganz Deutschland, jedoch nahmen ich am Ende nur Tänzer auf die aus oder um Frankfurt wohnten. Am Ende waren es über 20 Tänzerinnen die aus 14 Nationen stammten, die ich gemangt hatte. Nachdem die Tänzer aus dem Casting ausgewählt wurden, fanden die ersten Trainingseinheiten an verschiedenen Locations statt. Es wurden Choreographien für Shows einstudiert und nach 3 Monaten fand die erste Show bei der Prinz Talentbühne statt. Es folgte eine Deutschland Tour für die „Supermodelsconnect“ wo wir in Mainz, Neuss und in Esslingen performten. Beim 10.Hip Hop & Freestyle Dance Festival in Augsburg nahmen wir auch teil und messten uns mit den besten Dance Groups in Deutschland. Im Anschluss gewann Metro Dance Project die Prinz Talentbühne in der Kategorie Tanz.
